Backstage, Ember Moon is interviewed about the rematch from Takeover: Chicago that will not include her. Moon’s not happy about missing these opportunities. She’s re-evaluated her interests and objectives, and next time she’s going to make good on the opportunity to become Women’s Champion.
Earlier today, Billie Kay and Peyton Royce talks about a remodel of the Performance Center before they’re interrupted by Ember Moon who walks in, looking dejected until a stagehand walks in with a medical release form. Ember says she will see them soon. Commentary confirms that Ember Moon has been medically cleared to return to action soon.

We take a look at an empty Allstate Arena before TakeOver: Chicago. Ember Moon talks about being on the sidelines for that night’s title match. She would love for Asuka to retain that night, if only so Ember can take that from her. Time heals all wounds, but battle scars last forever. We go to a look back at the Triple Threat match for the Women’s Championship, in which Asuka ultimately retained the title. Backstage, Asuka is interviewed after that match and says that no one can stand toe to toe with her.

A video package recapped the build to the NXT Women’s Championship triple-threat, with Asuka interfering in the #1 Contender’s Battle Royal, Ember Moon’s injury taking her out of the match, and the subsequent brawls between the remaining ladies involved: Asuka, Ruby Riot, and Nikki Cross. Asuka vowed to remain champion forever.
Back at the panel, Ember Moon joins them. She says that she’s disappointed to not be involved in the match, but looking back she’s thankful her injury wasn’t worse. Ember continues that whether Asuka is champion or not coming out of tonight, she will get her revenge on her.
